Cold Horizon is inspired by the quiet architecture of winter light. The work grew from observing how cold air softens the world, reducing it to essential shapes — vertical planes, muted horizons, weightless spheres. These elements merge here into a structured, atmospheric landscape where geometry meets the delicacy of frost.
Using textured mixed media was intentional: the layered surface echoes crystalline winter patterns, allowing the light to catch on subtle ridges and matte areas. The palette shifts from deep blue architectural blocks to translucent pastel skies, with small accents of yellow that bring controlled warmth into an otherwise cool composition.
The piece invites viewers into a moment of clarity and stillness. It’s meant to evoke the feeling of standing at a winter horizon — where the world becomes quieter, simpler, and surprisingly luminous. Through its balance of structure and softness, Cold Horizon encourages reflection, calm, and a renewed sense of space.
